Welcome to 2008, and the first IP News of the year! We hope you had a fun and injury-free holiday break. There are lots of exciting new injury prevention updates for the New Year, including new websites such as The Low Down, and upcoming conferences and events, such as the 17th International Safe Communities Conference.

  NPiS/SCFNZ FREE Regional Seminar on Young Workers Safety, 31 March, New Plymouth  
  The seminar, titled "But No-one Told Me!", will present research into the safety attitudes of young people in Taranaki secondary schools, and will provide information on the specific safety needs of young workers, and the Passport 2 Safety programme.
