  Alcohol and Community Safety Workshop, Christchurch 12 February 2009, 8.30am - 12 noon  
  Alcohol harm costs between $1 and $4 billion a year. A substantial proportion of this is related to community safety and injury. This workshop led by ALAC, will bring together all sectors within community safety including those with an interest in road safety, injury prevention and crime reduction to share information and knowledge on how to reduce alcohol related harm in our communities. Barb Pyne, IPC at Henderson branch in Auckland, has resigned to take up an H&S Advisor role with APN NZ Ltd. Barb's last day was 19 December 2008.

Kevin Honeybun has tendered his resignation. His last day at ACC was Friday 19 December 2008. Kevin has been in ACC for 5 years as IPC at Papakura.

Gerald Edmunds has been appointed IPC in Christchurch to replace Michael Morris. He started on 26 January 2009.

Dee Young will begin a 12 month secondment to the Injury Prevention Group from 9 February 2009. Judy Buchanan, who is currently a Programme Manager with the Injury Prevention Group, will be replacing Dee within the NZIPS Group.
