The presentation of the DPS by the NZIPS Secretariat and WaterSafe
Auckland to the Mayoral Forum last year resulted in the endorsement
of the Strategy. Following this endorsement the Auckland Regional
Council has taken the lead with funding to produce a set of
regional priorities or a regional overlay to the Strategy. Among
the KPI's for this initiative was that this be a collaborative
process and any initiatives that came out of this be worked through
in partnership with local bodies, the aquatic sector and other
stakeholders. Early in Sept representatives from these groups met
to workshop through the draft regional priorities. See www.watersafe.org.nz for outcomes
